New sites designed to keep up with your scores and credit status

I started the process of credit repair back in 2000, working with American Credit consulting, it was a wonderful learning tool. I then opened my own business in 2003 of March. So many things have changed in this process. Scores use too be so taboo and we were unable to get our hands on them until we paid outrageous fees or we were interested in purchasing a home. Even dealerships or credit loan companies, banks and so on were unable to share our scores with us. But, today there are some new resources to help us review our credit history and to encourage us to build and monitor our spending and credit history.

Here are three sites that I have shared with my personal clients so that they can keep an eye on the growth of their credit scores and the change in their credit history:

The sites require that you fill out your personal information, they require you to go through a multiple choice of questions so that they can verify your identity and then you are able to view items listed. Keep in mind that although these sites are helpful, they are not updated immediately and while your personal credit history has been disputed and updated the information may still be sitting on these sites for 30 to 60 days.

Also, there is a direct site to the credit bureaus that you may use to look at your personal credit history and redeem free every 6 months. (once a year)

How I became a credit analyst

My name is Lisa Marie Dominguez and I have been providing credit repair since 2003 with my own business and have done credit repair since 2000, while working for a wonderful company that helped me get where I am today. I enjoy the process and love learning new things about the law all the time to help my clients. It isn’t an easy task to do, it is time consuming and you must do it correctly or you can ruin the chances of getting your credit repaired. I don’t charge for consultation so if you are serious about credit repair I will sit down and assess your reports with you, my time is valuable to me as I have so many wonderful clients and prospects ready to get their lives in order, so if you are serious give me a call but if you are only interested in an assessment email me your report and I will look it over. Credit repair is a process of disputing errors on your personal credit history. Don’t misunderstand the process, it’s not about disputing items by the ownership but rather the errors of the items listed. No one ever plans to have bad credit and it doesn’t matter what your status is in society. We all have had bad credit and made mistakes before. Just so you understand I will share my own story with you. I was fresh out of a divorce, had no money issues. For the first time in my 28 years I had several new credit cards under my name. I had never paid a bill in my life since my husband took care of those things for me. He was the bread winner and the one in charge of all the bills; I was only a mom and a wife. So once I divorced, I walked away from my home, and all the luxuries of being taken care of. One day as I was driving home from work I heard a commercial on the radio about putting all my bills into one lump sum and not having to pay separate payments. It sounded interesting to me and as I stated I had no clue about debt and bills. I called the number to get information and found out the company was from New York. I fell in love with the individual that provided all this information that I was starving for. I was finally learning about credit and debt and enriching my mind with lots of information. I signed up right away to get my accounts placed into one lump sum and pay only one payment a month. Keep in mind I had probably three lines of credit and nothing over $300 on each credit card limit. I owed about $700 on my cards and I had enough money to last well over four years in my bank account. I wanted the cards to build credit since I wanted to finance a vehicle. I started the program, was instructed to place $280 down and then start making payments on my account so that they could pay the cards in full. Four months past and I was making a monthly payment of $300 through an automatic withdrawal and didn’t put two and two together that I had already paid the amount owed to my creditors yet this company was still accepting my automatic payments. Within six months I wanted to finance a vehicle and was told I had bad credit. I called the company and they assured me that my debt was being paid. After 10 months and $3,000.00 in payments none of my accounts were paid and my phone was ringing off the hook with bill collectors. I didn’t realize I had to be 90 days late with this program so that they could settle on my accounts and pay next to nothing while keeping my money. I called and talked to my rep and his attitude changed. He said the only thing that I could do was stop the automatic payment and my money would be in an account until the credit cards were settled on. Then if there is any money left they would mail it to me in a check form. I immediately stopped all automatic payments and started researching what I could do. Apparently, I had no options other than to take this company to court or lose $3,000.00. I opted to lose the $3,000.00 and move forward. I talked to a friend that referred me to a credit repair company. I had no clue what it was or what it meant. I sat down and became flustered with confusion. It was confusing to me and all foreign. I paid the fee to get started and prayed it wouldn’t be another company like the one before. After starting with the credit repair the Owner asked if I wanted to work with her and I gave my two weeks’ notice for NISD and started working with American Credit Consulting. I stayed with the company and learned everything I could until parting ways. I opened my own business and loved it. I would go to the law library every day that I could and research all the laws. I learned Bankruptcy laws, credit laws, collection laws and so much more on my own. I made copies of everything I could and would read all night to ensure I knew all the laws while having my business. I loved helping people and I wanted to do it the right way. Plus, credit repair is federal and you can be federally imprisoned for committing fraud. That alone scared me; I wanted to comply with all of the laws. My business took off and I opened my office in March of 2013. Finally, after three years of cancelling my account with the consolidation company that took $3000,00.00 of my money, I received a post card in the mail at my place of business. It stated that I was a candidate for a law suit against Debticated. I called the number and they informed me that there was nothing I could do or that there was nothing that they needed me to do. They were in the middle of one of the biggest lawsuits and I would be compensated for all the money I paid. Another year passed and I was mailed a check for $19.99 because all of the attorneys were paid first. So, that is what happened to me and that is how I became interested in helping others to learn what to do and what not to do in the process of dealing with credit companies, collection companies and others. Everyone has right’s, we just need to learn the laws to help and enrich our minds. It took me very little time to learn the process and laws and now I am helping others by example and my own hardship to improve their lives.

understanding the process of credit repair

Not many individuals understand the process of credit repair so I will explain it as simple as I can. The first process is to assess the credit report to see if you qualify for credit restoration.

After I look over the credit report and see that some of the accounts are removable then the process is to get the disputes submitted to the credit bureaus as well as the creditors.

Credit repair is not about removing accounts that belong to you but rather to dispute errors reporting on to your personal credit history. There are many errors, such as duplicated accounts. One is when the original creditor and others reporting from third party agencies. More than one account can not report.

Dates and balance errors, many individuals have sold their homes, traded in vehicles and paid accounts off to find that they are still reporting as open, negatively late or with high balances lowering their scores. The accounts can not report if they are reporting false information.

Student loans and child support reporting with negative late history that is invalid. You cant have the accounts removed but you can have the ratings attached updated and the correct history reported.

Invalid balances can drastically affect you since debt to income ratios are calculated that way. If your debt is too high but you have great payment history, your scores can still be low since your scores alert any lender that you have exceeded your borrowing rights.

Satisfied judgments or tax liens linger since the courthouse rarely updates those account. There are so many things that can be disputed, its all about knowing the laws of collection and credit.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

How to get started...

Welcome to The Credit Solution, we follow all guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting act that are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission.

It is very difficult when you have been denied credit time and time again, or get stuck with outrageous interest rates. We never plan to have “bad credit”, but then again we never plan to lose a job, get divorced, file for bankruptcy, or co-sign for a friend or relative that let go of their payments, but it happens. Sometimes our credit is ruined because of creditor’s mistakes. They insert other people’s information on to your personal credit history making you a victim of fraud.

Credit is a factor in today’s everyday living. Your lives can be drastically affected by your personal credit history. Many times the credit bureaus do not verify that the information being reported is complete and accurate. Just think you can be turned down for a job because of information that is outdated, false or even incorrectly reporting onto your credit. Your vehicle insurance premiums will even sky rocket. Your credit unfortunately determines whether you will be able to receive any kind of loan.

Approximately, 73% of the information reporting on to your credit report is erroneous, inaccurate or even obsolete. Most people do not have a clue on how to read their credit reports. You might look at your credit report and assume that all the information is correct and belongs to you, but what you don’t know is that the credit bureaus must follow a very strict guideline and report updated, valid information. That means that, the information must be reported in a timely manner. The balance and history of the account must be true to date and they cannot report any duplicated information.

I must tell you that you can repair your own credit. However, most people do not have the time, or knowledge to do it on their own.

Fortunately, there is a solution to your credit issues. It is not required for a creditor to report negative information on to your credit report. You can legally have information such as late history, collection accounts, repossessions, foreclosures, charge-offs, and Bankruptcy removed from your credit history.

If you are interested in getting back on the right track, please give us a call so that we can schedule an appointment and assist you into getting your life back on the right track.

Please help us to help you and keep up with all of your positive accounts.

Neither you nor a credit repair agency has the right to remove any accurate, current, verifiable information. You only have the right to have inaccurate, unverifiable, negative information removed if it is over 7 years or 10 years for Bankruptcies.

While you are in the process of credit repair you must remember that paying your debts is important, only if you are still paying the original creditor. Once you understand your rights with bill collectors you will understand the meaning of credit repair. It is important to know your rights with collection agencies and the do’s and don’ts while in the process. There are many rules the collection agencies should follow. Read carefully so that you can make sure that they comply with all the laws and keep a log of information if they don’t. It is important to take down names of the people you are dealing with so that you can have proof if needed:

Debt collectors may not tell others your personal information. No family member, friend employer or third party has the right to know your personal credit history. Yet, they never comply.

They may not call you at unusual times or places such as your employment or anywhere that is inconvenient for you and demand that you talk to them. Yet, they never comply.

They may not harass or abuse you in any manner. They cannot use obscene language; put your name on a public display to show your delinquency. Yet, they never comply.

They may not make anonymous, unknown calls. That would mean that you would never be able to track them down or have proof that they are harassing you. Yet, they never comply.

They may not state that they are with a sheriff, government agency, involved with the IRS, a lawyer, or any other “legal agency”. Yet, they never comply.

They may not state that they can garnish your wages or any property, unless such action is legal. Yet, they never comply.

I must inform you of your rights, you can do credit repair on your own. It isn’t an easy task and you can even ruin your own credit by disputing illegally. Neither you nor a credit repair agency can have accurate information removed from your credit report. You have the right to obtain a free copy of your credit report if you suspect fraud, have been turned down for credit within 60 days of ordering your reports, if you are a recipient of the welfare system, or unemployed. You also have the right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organization Act. The Federal Trade
Commission regulates credit bureaus and credit repair organizations. For more information feel free to contact The Public Reference Branch, Federal Trade Commission, Washington, D.C. 20580.

I, the undersigned, understand and agree to all the aforementioned.

Information you should know

Important information that you should be aware of:

By paying of a delinquent debt, you will only change the account status to report as a paid collection or paid charge off. This makes it an even more difficult task of restoring your credit. You have just added another 7 years for the delinquent account to appear on your credit report because you chose to do the “right thing”. Even if you pay a collection agency they don’t always inform the original creditor and you may still owe the original creditor the same balance. The collection agency can sell your account back to the original creditor if the debt is claimed to be uncollected from you, the original creditor will then sale your account to another collection agency to report again and again, even if you have paid the debt. The original creditor has no way of tracking down your payment.

When a collection agency calls, request the following information of; their name, business address, phone number, your account number, and balance. It is important to request this information when you first speak to the collection agency because after speaking to the collection agency and making them aware that you are not in any condition to pay for this debt they will become very difficult to deal with and refuse to provide this information. You will need this information so that you can send a cease and desist letter to them. I will provide you with the letter at no charge but it’s best that you send the letter certified mail so that you have proof of the stop harassment letter.

Many collection agencies give false information. They always lead you to believe that they are trying to help you. When this attempt doesn’t work they will threaten you into believing that they can take your home, vehicle or start deducting from your paycheck. They even lead you into believing that they can take you to court. These are all scare tactics, don’t allow them to mislead you. It is very important that you know that they cannot disclose your personal information to anyone but you. Many times they will discuss your personal history with anyone that’s willing to listen, such as your boss, co-workers, your children, and relatives. Be careful of the numbers that you give out for reference because they will also be receiving a call. A collection agency cannot have you arrested for your debt, nor can they approach you at your home or your employment. For more information of the laws and collection agencies, you may research the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.

It is a fact that the credit bureaus and the credit grantor can remove negative accounts before 7 years and update delinquent accounts to read as never late. Many times they tell you that they have concluded their investigation and that everything must stay, that is not true you have the right to continue to fight to correct your credit file. They also inform you to give a 100-word statement, but this does not help you. In the long run it helps the credit bureaus to continue to report the information rather than remove the item. It does not help to report the 100-word statement, your score stays the same and the negative item is still there.

Do not fool yourself into thinking that just because the negative information comes off of your credit report you will have a higher score. There are many factors in your score. It is based on your debt to income ratio, meaning how many positive accounts, how high your balances are compared to your income. If you have negative accounts removed and you do not have any positive lines of credit on your credit report, your score will not improve. You will have to start all over in trying to re-establish your credit. This process will not be easy.

Please, Do Not attempt to change your social security number. It is illegal and is not worth perfect credit.
